Here in the sunny island, L’Oréal ONESINGAPORE bring together 5 entities under one roof – SAPMENA Zone, L’Oréal Singapore, Travel Retail APAC, Research & Innovation and L’Oréal International Distribution, and we look forward to moving into our new office this year at One Raffles Quay.

At L’Oréal, we share a common purpose and we are excited to create the beauty that moves the world!

We know that beauty is more than just looking good. Beauty gives us confidence in who we are in who we want to be and in our relationship with others. Our goal is to offer each person around the best of beauty in terms of quality, efficacy, safety, sincerity and responsibility to satisfy all beauty needs and desires in their infinite diversity.

Everything we do can have a meaningful impact; we act to shape the future of beauty by leveraging the best science and technology. Increasingly inspired by nature, we act to protect the beauty of the planet by fighting climate changes respecting biodiversity and preserving natural resources.

Our 88,000 employees globally are empowered in an entrepreneurial and diverse culture, coming together to spark innovation and build a true leading brand powerhouse, offering beauty-tech experiences for all across 4 divisions, 36 international brands and 150 locations.

To quote our founder Eugène Schueller, “a company is not walls and machines, it’s people, people, people”.

At L’Oréal, we give our employees a playground and offer them the ability to truly master their paths, make their own ways and set their rules in what matters to them. Unlimited options of career paths within await our employees.

Freedom to go beyond, that’s the beauty of L’Oréal. We empower our people, so that they can go, write, and tell their unique #mylorealjourney to all.

In 2021, for the 4th year in a row, L’Oréal is among the top 5 most gender-balanced companies of the world in Equileap's Global Gender Equality Ranking.

L’Oréal aims to reflect the diversity of the markets in which it operates at every level, including Singapore, a multi-racial country. This mission can only be achieved by promoting inclusion and diversity within the teams.

As part of our long-term strategy dedicated to Diversity & Inclusion, L’Oréal has been committed to promoting gender equality for over 15 years. We aim to create an inclusive work environment for all genders and achieve gender balance in our workforce.

LEARNING FOR DEVELOPMENT #learningneverrstops

For L’Oréal, helping every employee to develop professionally is both central to driving performance and a question of responsibility. We have committed to ensuring that 100% of employees will annually by 2020. In 2018, this proportion grew to 88%.

Our online training portal, My Learning, is integral to accelerating this ambition. Available in 27 languages, it had more than 54,100 frequent users in 2018. Employees followed 750,000 modules, which represents 185,000 hours of online training. For the first time, employees were also able to follow MOOCs offered by more than 150 universities globally. Overall, there were 3,200 registrations, and 18,000 hours of training were delivered. Till date, at least 88% of our employees globally have benefitted from at least one training session, and this number continues to grow, even in the midst of a pandemic. We also ended 2020 with higher digital learning hours per employees as compared to 2019!

L’Oréal Share & Care Program is part of a long tradition of social innovation and care to the employees and it relies on our conviction that places people at the center of its concerns. This is a strong commitment that reflects the Group’s vision: sustainable growth goes hand in hand with a high level of social performance, with the program governed by 4 pillars – Protection, Health, Balance and Workplace.

In 2021, we aim to be more agile, flexible, comprehensive and inclusive as we adapt our program to the new ways of working in the increasingly changing environment.

The Balance pillar for example, allows everyone to find the right balance to enjoy life’s best moments and personal priorities while being fully engaged at work. Our employees can enjoy a shorter week, i.e. long weekend up to 9 times a year, with our TGIF (“Thank God It’s Friday”) leave that allows them Friday afternoons off. As we look towards the future of remote working, we will also be launching a new type leave in 2022, that will enable more flexibility.

Even before the pandemic, our employees could work from home with their “WorkSmart” entitlement up to 4 days per month! This practice will continue even with increased days after the pandemic as we embrace the new ways of working.

Not only that, we seek to play a part in our employees’ life occasions - whether it’s getting married, the birth of a new child, a work anniversary or the loss of a loved one, we support our employees with both time and monetary resources.

Employee Experience is at the heart of all that we do at L’Oréal and our employees’ wellbeing and welfare is a priority for us. While working from home in the past 2 years, we continue to engage our employees through consistent team check-ins, various virtual Townhall meetings and well-being workshops (ergonomic tips, Yoga, hair styling workshop by our in-house educator) etc. We are honored to have been awarded Best Remote Management (Gold) by HR Online.Net in 2021.
