The Philippines HR Team is comprised of three teams that work together to create an exceptional employee experience and career journey. These three teams are the HR Business Partners, Talent Advisors & People Experience Leads. The Talent Advisors bring in the best talents to our company, the People Experience Leads address HR related queries such as the benefits and payroll, and the HR Business Partners craft the career plan and growth of employees. These three teams are driven by the HR team purpose which is “Sama-sama, tulong-tulong, to unlock the best selves of every life we touch and make PH shine!” (All together, let’s help one another to unlock the best selves of every life we touch and make PH shine.) and we are able to do these by championing pillars and landing programs for our employees.


Diversity & Inclusion

As part of Unilever’s commitment to build an inclusive culture, we strongly champion Diversity and Inclusion. Unilever Philippines leads the industry in creating inclusive benefits particularly 20-day paid leave for fathers (beyond the 7-days mandated by law), Domestic Partner Policy, which recognizes same gender partners and extends benefits to them, and paid absences for adoptive parents in response to a diverse workforce. We are also very proud that as we continue to build a gender-balanced workforce, our Board of Directors lead by example with 50% of our leadership represented by strong and able women.

Learning & Development

Furthermore, to be the best workplace for the best talent, we deploy accelerated programs to build our leader bench through an agile and borderless approach. The program is designed to create experiences for talents in different “waves” or horizons to be ready for leadership. In addition, we have a Development For All Program which creates variety of relevant experiences aligned to Individual Development Program. While we have online trainings powered by Degreed (learning platform), we continue to invest in Leadership Programs (first time line managers, senior leaders’ programme) and in new capabilities such as Digital and Data.

Well-being

At Unilever, we promote and support the well-being of employees through the different initiatives and facilities we have. For mental and emotional well-being, we have an on-site psychologist once a month, an Employee Assistance Program or Hotline available for all employees and an additional medical allowance for Mental Health related concerns. For physical well-being, we have interest groups like Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Running and Cycling Clubs to promote work-life balance among employees. Lastly, we also facilities such as a gym, a karaoke room and resting pods to support the well-being of all our employees.
