Health Carousel Philippines Inc. (HCPI) is a leading recruitment firm in the Philippines, primarily engaged in marketing, recruitment, processing, and deployment. We are also duly registered at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). HCPI recruits Filipino healthcare professionals from the Philippines and abroad for deployment to the U.S.A.

Despite the challenges that COVID-19 has brought to us since 2020, HCPI became more agile in responding to this unprecedented crisis. We implemented employee-focused business continuity plan and launched initiatives that centers not only with the health and safety of our employees but also with their work productivity and efficiency.

In compliance with the Community Quarantine implemented across the country, HCPI immediately adopted a Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) leading to 100% of the employees to work-from-home during hard lockdown and transition to work on a hybrid work set-up once the community quarantine eases up. The Company also issued new guidelines, protocols, and policies to ensure the continuity of business operations while maintaining a safe workplace. This new measures aim to protect the health and safety of the employees, visitors, and other stakeholders of HCPI. An installation of acrylic dividers between workstations and posting of reminders and marking ensures safety protocols are being observed. On the other hand, Lockers, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Health and Safety Kits, Vitamins, and Flu Vaccine were given as an additional protection for the employees. Aside from this, employees were also provided an access to online consultation/telemedicine services in addition to Company’s HMO. On top of it all, the Company provided cash assistance to all employees during the early phase of the Community Quarantine. The Company also shouldered swab testing of the employees suspected to be exposed to the said virus while providing added health and safety supplies such as face masks, face shields, healthy snacks and meals, and vitamins for those employees tested positive. The Company extended financial assistance to the employees who encountered serious medical conditions or in case a death in the immediate family were reported.

With all employees working on a hybrid arrangement, HCPI ensures to maintain work and life balance of the employees by facilitating monthly virtual employee engagements such as virtual happy hour, holiday celebrations, and group virtual activities. Monthly Town Hall meetings, huddles, and coaching sessions are also practiced to ensure collaboration, communication, and connection are present within the organization. The Company also provides career advancement and personal development programs such as webinars and trainings on mental health and wellbeing, productivity, performance, and customer service.
To ensure productivity level is maintained, HCPI invested in advancing the IT capability of the organization such as acquiring daily monitoring tool and communication application via VOIP while working from home. A monthly internet and communication allowance including company laptop were also given to the employees to ensure the success of their work from home arrangement.

HCPI also launched Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to give back to the community. This includes donation drives to those infected by typhoons and volcano eruption in the Philippines and a one week packed lunch to the nurses of our partner hospital.
In 2020, HCPI achieved Bronze Stevie Award in the Achievement Awards Category on Human Resources: Best Place to Work – Best in Engagement Activities in the 17th Annual International Business Awards. This award served as a testament that HCPI values the employees’ wellbeing and growth during their stay in the organization. This year, HCPI continuously provide and improve HR best practices and programs by promoting culture of openness, inclusivity, and collaboration. The Company also implements significant workplace initiatives and policies and continue to promote employee engagements, corporate social responsibility while consistently imparting our core values.
