YTL Construction is the construction flagship of the YTL Group, an integrated conglomerate with a global presence in 33 countries. Originally known as Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay (SPYTL), we are a full-spectrum construction group, offering services from concept and design to building and fit-out. Among many current ongoing projects in our portfolio, YTL Construction is the main local subcontractor managing the construction works of the nation’s biggest 200km railway track project which is the Electrified Double Track from Gemas to Johor Bahru. Since our inception in 1955, we have always been in the business of nation-building. This mission inspires YTL Construction to stay focused on our greatest asset: our people .

Onboarding Journey: Induction, Welcome Pack and Buddy System
Every talent that joins the YTL Construction Family undergoes a curated journey designed to provide every new joiner with a 30-day onboarding experience that begins with a hybrid induction (online HR platform and in-person briefing). It is supplemented with a welcome pack and an assigned buddy who will help the new joiner assimilate successfully into YTL Construction.

Management Framework
The Talent Management Framework was developed by the Executive Management and HR to ensure that each employee could plan and align their professional futures with YTL Construction.

  • The YTL Learning Academy launched with a physical hub in the new YTL Construction headquarters and the Academy includes a free online platform that was created to facilitate technical training as well as soft skills, language programmes and recreational classes for all employees, on and offsite.
  • The Graduate Training Programme is an exclusive 24-months programme, designed in-house by young leaders of YTL Construction. The programme gives construction or related industries graduates, the breadth and depth of understanding of YTL Construction via rotations in the different departments.

YTL Construction relocated to the state-of-the-art Menara YTL located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. COVID-19 Response and Support

All employees (HQ and Site) have been fully vaccinated under the company vaccine programme. Throughout this pandemic period, YTL Construction has also provided face masks and hand sanitisers to all employees. The business contingency plan was executed successfully to maintain the resilience of the business without risking the health and safety of the employees.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of financial and economic challenges. In line with our commitment towards building our nation, YTL Construction has provided aid in the form of groceries and PPE packs to be distributed to the underprivileged families in our communities. The communities around our Site offices and locations in Johor have been touched by the aid and support given during this time.
