The Emergence of an Islamic Insurance Pioneer

Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad (“ was incorporated on 29 November 1984 The Company has a share capital of RM196.8 million with total assets of RM 10.3 billion at Group level as at 31 December 2019.

In accordance with the Islamic Financial Services Act 2013 (“ STMB separated its composite license into two 2 licensed entities STMB, now known as Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad (“ manages the Family Takaful business whilst Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Berhad (“manages the General Takaful business STMKB is the holding company and owns 100 of STMAB Both STMKB and STMAB operate through a combined network of service centres across 24 locations nationwide.

In today’s highly competitive environment, we are well equipped to strengthen our foothold and increase our market share in the insurance industry. Our aim is to provide extensive insurance solutions to cater to the diverse needs of our loyal customers and business partners. An Outstanding Brand

Takaful Malaysia successfully garnered two awards at The Edge Billion Ringgit Club (“Corporate Awards 2019. We clinched the ‘Highest Growth In Profit After Tax Over Three Years’ and ‘Highest Return On Equity Over Three Years’ Awards under the Financial Services Sector.

Takaful Malaysia was also awarded the Best Performing Stock Highest Returns to Shareholders over Three Years Gold Award under the Finance sector at the prestigious The Edge Billion Ringgit Club Corporate Awards for the years 2013 2016 and 2017. We also won The Edge BRC Highest Return On Equity Over Three Years Silver Award 2017.

Takaful Malaysia was awarded the Best Takaful Company in Malaysia Award for five consecutive years at the International Takaful Awards from 2013 to 2017. We were also awarded the Best Takaful Company 2016 Award at the Global Islamic Finance Awards 2016.

Takaful Malaysia clinched the number 1 spot for delivering the ‘Best Return on Equity (amongst 45 Government Linked Companies ( listed on Bursa Malaysia for the financial year 2016 The Company was also ranked number 1 amongst the 48 GLCs listed on Bursa Malaysia for delivering the ‘Best Performing Stock in the Finance Sector’ for the financial year 2015, 2016.
