WORKPLACE POLICIES AND PRACTICESWe conduct business according to the values embodied in Our Credo. We operate with the highest standards regarding our employees, the environment, the patients, and consumers we serve, and all other stakeholders. The guidelines and policies, statements and standards below define what we expect of ourselves, and our business partners.
Diversity and Inclusion Policy - Johnson & Johnson are committed to workplace diversity and to cultivating, fostering, and preserving a culture of inclusion. We know that bringing our diverse backgrounds, cultures and perspectives together is the way to solve today’s complex health problems.
Employment and Labour Laws and Policies - All employment must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including those concerning hours, compensation, equal opportunity, human rights and working conditions.
Healthiest Workforce - We are committed to helping employees, their families and communities live well -— spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and financial — enabling an engaged, purpose-driven workforce that improves health for humanity.
Giving back to the Community – The Global Community Impact (GCI) organization—with funding from Johnson & Johnson Foundation and other functional divisions and operating companies across the three Johnson & Johnson business segments—drives programming for our community giving, social impact and other philanthropic initiatives around the world.
EMPLOYEE BENEFITSWe believe in investing in our people to create a virtuous cycle that pays us all back - the healthier our employees and their families, the healthier our business and the healthier our world. The company’s Global Parental Leave policy, which guarantees fathers and mothers a minimum of eight weeks of paid leave, is an opportunity for the company to bolster an already family-friendly culture, and a means of recruiting talented individuals who believe a healthy work life grows from a healthy home life. We are cultivating the world’s healthiest workforce in Johnson & Johnson by providing free medical checkup every two years, gym subsidies, healthy eating with provision of fruits and discounts for home delivery of healthy foods and weekly virtual wellness activities such as Zumba, Piloxing, hiking and Pilates during the pandemic.
We provide education assistance as we recognize continuous education is important to some of our employees. Johnson & Johnson offers reimbursement of approved tuition expenses and fees for programs relevant to their career.
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENTEmployee Resource Groups (ERG) enable us to attract and retain diverse talents, provide employee leadership development opportunities, and support several community patient initiatives to drive greater health and wellness education for all. ERGs also contribute to advancing our culture of belonging by fostering employee engagement, which positively impacts business outcomes.
The two ERGs are Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) group, of which Women Leadership Initiative (WLI) is a part, and Health & Wellness (H&W). Both D&I and WLI aim to advance the culture of inclusion and innovation, build a diverse workforce for the future, and enhance business results and reputation. We are proud of the hundreds of initiatives, coalitions, and partnerships we have in place to achieve one common goal: to help women thrive.
H&W encourages all employees to be healthy, not just at work but outside of work, and promotes a culture of health that is engrained in the company. This is possible through initiatives such as regular talks on mental health and other health conditions by healthcare professionals, weekly virtual workout classes, gym subsidies and annual health checks.
Through the Malaysia Community Impact (MCI), we support and champion the people on the front lines who are at the heart of delivering care. We do this through three pillars – Centre for Healthcare Workers, Talent for Good and Responding to People in Crises.
