To commemorate International Women’s Day in 2020, we have launched the #WomenInPower campaign via social media. This year-long campaign aims to provide prospective jobseekers and students with an insight into Vena Energy’s successful female team members, including their personal development within the renewable energy sector and their contributions to the company. We believe our plan will enable us to significantly close the gender gap by 2025, and completely by 2030.

Vena Energy aims to attract, recruit, and retain the best people and talent in the renewable energy sector across the Asia Pacific region. We promote long-term career development by recognizing and rewarding performance. A new Performance For Success Framework was implemented in 2019 to manage objective performance through goalsetting among team members and their direct managers. Annual performance reviews also offer an opportunity to discuss career progression, training needs and other development initiatives.
Leveraging on our cross-geographical platform and our regional resource pool, we enabled international mobility that provide further career opportunities, including valuable job rotations to learn new functions or new markets, which are aligned with personal development goals and business needs. To provide our employees with opportunities to self-develop and learn new skills, the Vena Energy Academy was launched as a bi-weekly knowledge-sharing and training platform, led by functional experts from within and outside of the organization, topics presented ranged from job-related to healthcare matters. All employees are enrolled to LinkedIn Learning to promote wider scope of self-enrichment options and the Leadership Development programmes prepares individuals for succession planning and ensuring we always have the right resources with the right skillsets in the right roles.
