Workplace policies & practicesSince 2018, Telkomsel has started its transformation journey. HCM plays pivotal role in shaping Organization & Operating Model, People Capability, and implementation of High-Performance Culture. Changes in the organization and operating model are the first steps to keep Telkomsel relevant to the rapidly changing dynamics of the digital industry. This new organization and operating model is expected to make Telkomsel become more customer-centric, agile and lean.
2020 is a challenging year for everyone, especially for Chief Human Capital Officers and human capital function in companies around the world. At Telkomsel, the Human Capital Management (HCM ) function is making sure that we are to remain agile, lean & thriving even in the pandemic time. Since Covide-19 struck, we have made several adjustments related to workplace policies. Our Work From Home Arrangement was immediately taking place in March 2020, to support the Indonesian government's effort to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Like in many other cases in different companies, the condition in some sense helped us to accelerate digital transformation, as new ways of working being implemented corporate-wide. We digitalized our human capital services, including people development-related programs such as training. We launched #WorkFromHeart Playbook to provide tips to employees to survive the Work From Home dan Learn From Home period. To this date, we have adjusted HCM services related to absence, medical checking, covid-19 handling, communication facilities, business trip, special benefit, performance monitoring, people development, leave/work permission, and recruitment & career.
The use of MOANA App (Mobile Office Application and Automation) which consists of numerous features such as employee attendance, internal social media, benefits information, leave/work permission, training information, and many others, has helped us to stay productive and maintaining work coordination.
Employee benefitsTelkomsel offers an attractive compensation and benefits. Our perks cover almost all the needs of our people, such as employee and family health, employee marriage, communication, vehicles, and many more. We conducted scholarship program for employees between 2016-2020, whereby employees attended different universities in United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Europe.
HCM is also in charge of employee recreatrional activities called “IBO” (Iman, Budaya, Olahraga – Faith, Culture, Sport). Through IBO, Telkomsel strives to provide recreational facilities that touch on religion, culture and sport towards enjoying good quality work-life balance.
