“We give back” is one of our Culture attributes that is integral part of who we are at Western Digital. As the world navigates through the COVID 19 pandemic, the Global Giving & Doing team and our employees continue to demonstrate other Culture Attributes of “We innovate”, “We act with urgency”, and “We collaborate”. We remain even more committed in making a positive difference to help our local communities.

In just a few short weeks, we have committed more than $3M in cash contributions to stellar non-profit, NGO and community partners committed to fighting COVID-19 around the world.

I recall a quote that goes like ‘A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. Confidence, courage, and compassion are the three C’s which personally helped me as a leader. This apart, I completely believe that integrity is the bedrock of effective leadership. We should have principles/ethics, and the tone of any organization you are leading should also demonstrate those ethics.
